Founded in France in 1880 as a tapestry-weaving mill, Brunschwig & Fils has evolved into the interior design world’s most prestigious source for exclusive fabrics, wallpapers, trimmings, furniture and carpet, with a distinct point of view.

Brunschwig & Fils’ new fabric collection, Le Jardin Chinois, celebrates the rich tradition of chinoiserie. The collection is vast, with 300 new items available for order. Many of the new fabrics are based on documents found in the Brunschwig & Fils archives. Some fabrics were inspired by the work of artist Jean-Baptiste Pillement, an 18th century French designer renowned for his chinoiserie imagery. Mixed in with this rich tradition is updated designs from the mid-20th century and bold new geometric designs in complimentary color ways that give the collection that sought after eclectic jolt.
